Iran’s knowledge-based firms showcase nuclear medicine achievements at Venezuela expo

Joining an exhibition in Venezuela, Iranian knowledge-based companies put on display their technological achievements in nuclear medicine, including devices used for accurate detection of medical conditions and nuclear medicines.
One of the medicines showcased at the event was ZakAria-Cinnagen, which can be used to treat over 19 types of cancer and is said to rank second on the list of the world’s best sellers of its kind, IRIB reported.
The Iranian firms participating in the event expressed readiness to help Venezuela boost its nuclear medicine know-how.
Venezuelan and Iranian organizers of the event also said they sought an expansion of cooperation in researches in cellular- and molecular-biology.
The Iranian side said two of Venezuela’s top researchers were engaged in joint research projects with Iranian scientists at Iran’s Royan Institute.
Given the capabilities of Iranian knowledge based firms, work is underway to prepare the ground for Iran to open a center for research in the field of cell therapy in Venezuela.
