Modern membrane processes enable gas separation

The Iranian Vice Presidency for Science and Technology has been sponsoring a project to separate carbon dioxide — a chemical compound harmful to the environment — from gases generated from the combustion of commonly-used fossil fuels.
Most industrial facilities, including petrochemical plants and refineries, use fossil fuels, which are today counted as one of the world’s most vital sources of energy.
The gas substances generated by these industries include a large amount of carbon dioxide, which causes harm to the environment and poses serious international threats.
This is while recycling carbon dioxide can instead turn into a method to create wealth for the country.
The gas separation agenda can reduce greenhouse emissions in line with Iran’s international commitments and eliminate water consumption in the carbon dioxide production process.
Ben Chaharmahal Carbon Dioxide Food Industries Company has been working on the project.
