Iranian technological company develops ultrasonic water meters

A group of Iranian engineers have developed ultrasonic water meters that can measure the consumption on a daily, monthly and yearly basis.
Amir-Hossein Kiyaei, who heads a technological firm based in the Science and Technology Park in Hamadan, western Iran, elaborated on the features of the water meters, which he said can be used to monitor the amount of water consumed in homes.
He said the ultrasonic meters have a higher measurement accuracy compared to the traditional mechanical versions.
The new water meters retain a low depreciation rate and are capable of establishing contacts with the operator through mobile applications since they are equipped with the Internet of Things (IoT) technology.
The devices are able to provide data on daily, monthly and yearly basis consumption to the operator.
