Iran makes TCU tester for use in railway transportation

A group of technologists at Iran’s prestigious Sharif University of Technology have built a TCU tester.
The device is used in rail transportation. It increases the reliability of locomotives’ operation and enables quick and accurate troubleshooting by way of using smart and automatic testing and monitoring equipment.
The device has no equivalent inside Iran or abroad.
TCU tester significantly saves the time and cost of the testing process and boosts the accuracy thereof. Then, the results of the test are given to the operator in a classified and complete manner.
The CEO of Paradis Mechatronic Sharif Company that has made the device says one of the most sensitive parts of a locomotive is the propulsion control unit, or the Traction Control Unit.
According to Mr. Sepeher Hashemian, testing, troubleshooting and calibration of TCU is of great importance and any technical glitch in it leads to the breakdown of the entire locomotive or interruption in the locomotive manufacturing process.
