Iranian creative industry representatives hold talks with Uzbek peers in Tashkent

An Iranian business delegation from creative and knowledge-based industries of cultural and soft technologies visited Uzbekistan. 

The delegation included people from the toy industry who paid a visit to some of Uzbekistan’s main toy manufacturing companies. 

The trip happened on Friday and the delegation included Masoud Hasanlou, Secretary of the Cultural and Soft Technologies Development Staff of the Office of the Iranian Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy. 

Uzbekistan has a toy market capacity of about 200 million dollars per annum, and during this visit by the Iranian delegation, some of the largest Uzbek toy producers with suitable domestic and export market sizes were also introduced. 

Meanwhile, Uzbek companies and manufacturers said they are ready to work with those active in the Iranian creative industries, especially toy manufacturers and suppliers, and to produce joint products with the Iranian side. 

Hasanlou underlined the Iranian government and the Office of the Vice-President for Science and Technology’s support for the toy industry. 

Also, B2B meetings happened between Iranian companies engaged in the creative economy sector as well as cultural and soft technologies such as animation, computer games, etc., and some Uzbek companies in the country’s capital Tashkent. 

At one of the meetings, commercial attaché of the Iranian embassy in Tashkent Rahmatollah Khormali spoke about the possibilities of Iranian companies in the production, distribution, and marketing of toys, saying the Iranian Embassy is ready to facilitate interactions between the two sides.
