Iranian inventors shine at U.S., S Korean festivals

Iranian inventors made a significant impact at two prestigious international invention festivals held in the U.S. and South Korea.

The Silicon Valley International Invention Festival (SVIF 2024), held from July 26-28 in Santa Clara, California, provided a unique platform for global inventors to showcase advanced inventions and compete for top international awards.

Supported by the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the event attracted participants from over 30 countries, including the U.S., China, South Korea, and Sweden.

A team of Iranian inventors, led by Amir Masoud Asadi, who has previously won gold medals at Swiss and South Korean invention festivals, earned a silver medal at this prestigious event.

Simultaneously, another group of Iranian inventors participated in the Korea International Women’s Invention Exposition 2024 (KIWIE 2024), held in early July under the auspices of the South Korean government and WIPO.

Asadi led the Iranian team, which competed against 150 inventions from South Korea and 202 innovations from 18 other countries.

The Iranian team achieved remarkable success, winning three gold, three silver, and two bronze medals.

Asadi emphasized that these international events provided valuable opportunities for Iranian inventors to collaborate with foreign researchers and attract international investors, further enhancing Iran’s presence in the global innovation arena.
