BRICS ministers invited to Iran Nano 2024 exhibition

Iran has extended an invitation to BRICS members to attend the Iran Nano 2024 exhibition, scheduled to be held on November 3-6.
Sajjad Ahadzadeh, head of the Center for Progress and Development (CPDI) of the Iranian Presidential Office, made the announcement on Friday evening at the 12th meeting of BRICS Ministers of Science, Technology, and Innovation in Moscow.
Ahadzadeh highlighted the importance of collaboration between BRICS members in various fields, including nanotechnology, biotechnology, energy, renewable energy, water, marine economy, food security, artificial intelligence, and digital economy.
He proposed new mechanisms for cooperation in critical areas such as the environment, climate change, and transportation.
Iran has expressed its readiness to host future working group meetings on geospatial information and renewable energy.
The BRICS meeting, chaired by Russia’s minister of science and higher education, included representatives from Iran, China, Russia, India, Brazil, South Africa, the UAE, Egypt, and Ethiopia.
Delegation leaders outlined their priorities in science, technology, and innovation, culminating in a joint statement signed by the member states.
It was also announced that Brazil will assume the BRICS rotating presidency in January 2025.
