Iranian innovative digital, solar spinning machines gain international recognition

A tech company based in Kermanshah Technology Park in western Iran has managed to modernize traditional Iranian carding and spinning machines, attracting customers from Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kashmir, Kyrgyzstan, and Iraq.
In an interview with Iran’s ISNA news agency, the CEO of the company, Mehran Zeighami, highlighted the activities of his company, explaining it specializes in rural conversion industries, from wool production to carpet making, and produces any required equipment in these fields.
He emphasized that the new spinning machine competes with foreign models, being just one-twentieth of their price, and also lighter and quieter.
Zeighami highlighted that the machine spins wool ten times faster than traditional methods, consumes only 60 to 70 watts of electricity, and they have even developed a solar-powered version for regions without reliable electricity.
The solar spinning wheel, which features an 80-watt solar panel, an inverter system, a battery charger, a digital speed control system, and a 12-volt battery, is particularly useful for nomadic populations and remote areas without grid power, similar to traditional spinning output.
Another innovative product from the company is a foldable weaving machine, designed for easy transport. When unfolded, it stands 130 cm tall but can be compacted to just 30 cm.
