Iran’s scientific vice president commemorates Students Day

The Iranian Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy felicitated Students Day, which fell on Friday this year.
According to the Center for Communications and Information of the Vice Presidency, Hossein Afshin highlighted in a message the critical role of knowledge and science in overcoming challenges and achieving sustainable development.
This immense potential, if properly recognized and harnessed, can not only solve fundamental issues but also cultivate a hopeful, creative, and transformative generation, the message read.
It further stated, “Students symbolize hope, awareness, and transformation. They have long stood at the forefront of progress and justice in Iranian society, playing a unique role in the nation’s scientific, cultural, and social vitality,”
“Throughout contemporary history, universities and students have been not only centers of learning but also bastions of change and leadership,” it elaborated.
Afshin’s message emphasized that, “Today’s students engage deeply with issues, analyze them critically, and learn to think evaluatively within the safe and dynamic environment of universities.”
It pointed out that the role of science in resolving challenges and fostering sustainable development has become evident.
“Students Day, commemorates the resilience and free thinking of students. Honoring this day reminds us of the invaluable contribution of students to Iran’s progress,” the message concluded.
