Iran’s national robotics team shines at SCO competitions

The Iranian National Industrial Robotics Team has achieved remarkable success at recent Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states’ competitions, the Communications and Information Center of the Iranian Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy reported.
Supported by the AI, Laser, and Quantum Headquarters of the Iranian scientific vice presidential office, the team earned one gold medal, one silver medal, and secured the top overall team ranking.
Held in China from December 15 to 18, the third edition of the event saw the Iranian team excelling in both individual and team categories of industrial robotics.
Davood Zarei, the coach of the Iranian team, hailed the team’s success as a ‘significant international accomplishment,’ noting that the 15 participating countries were impressed by Iran’s expertise in modern technology fields.
The Iranian team also received the Outstanding Contribution Award, reflecting their active participation and prominent role in the competitions.
Iran is in preliminary talks to host future SCO member states’ AI competitions, aiming to enhance international scientific and technological cooperation further.
