Iran Petrochem 2025 kicks off with participation of 80 knowledge-based companies

The second Iran Petrochem International Exhibition commenced on January 11, 2025, in Kish Island, southern Iran, under the theme “Supporting Knowledge-Based Production with a Focus on Industrial Growth.” 

The event was inaugurated by Hossein Afshin, Vice President for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy, alongside Ali Aghamohammadi, an Economic Advisor to the Supreme Leader, and Mohammad Shariatmadari, CEO of Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Group. 

According to the Vice Presidency’s Communications and Information Center, the event aims to promote knowledge-based production in petrochemical, refining, and petro-refining industries, aligning with national goals for economic growth. 

Over 4,000 representatives from the petrochemical sector are participating, with 142 booths showcasing their advancements, including those from 80 knowledge-based and tech-driven companies. 

The exhibition also serves as a platform for collaboration between various stakeholders, including petrochemical companies, financial institutions, policymakers, and technology innovators. 

It highlights the integration of innovative capabilities with industry requirements while fostering opportunities for investment and project development in the sector.
