VP: Iran to launch S-Bank in July

Iran’s Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-based Economy Hossein Afshin has announced the launching of “S-Bank” in the country on July 28, 2025, which marks the Day of Entrepreneurs. 

“S-Bank” is a revolutionary neo-bank powered by artificial intelligence. 

The center for communications and public relations of the office of the vice president quoted Hossein Afshin as saying the smart bank will be launched in collaboration with various banks and by relying on the capabilities of knowledge-based companies. He was speaking during the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement with the Central Bank to this effect. Afshin stressed that within the framework of this cooperation agreement, the smart neo-bank will be supported. 

The vice president also stated that through interactions with the Central Bank, the establishment of “S-Bank” was put on the agenda under this cooperation agreement.

Afshin noted that the neo-bank will be able to bring about a new transformation in providing monetary and other banking services to the people. 

“S-Bank” offers its services online without needing any physical branches. This neo-bank uses modern technologies to provide financial services to customers and will focus heavily on a simple and user-friendly experience.
