Iran showcases knowledge-based companies’ achievements in Pioneers of Progress expo

Iran’s favorable environment for technology and innovation has enabled knowledge-based companies to create new capacities for meeting domestic needs and competing internationally, according to the Information Center of the Iranian Vice Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy

The Pioneers of Progress exhibition, inaugurated on Tuesday, showcases some of the technological achievements to visitors including officials and the public.

Held at Imam Khomeini Hosseiniyeh in Tehran, the exhibition sheds light on impressive achievements by Iranian private sector and knowledge-based companies.

One highlight is a company’s display of its capabilities in designing, manufacturing, and repairing aircraft engines, demonstrating high levels of expertise and indigenous technology.

Another company showcased its success in localizing over 300 industrial components using metal 3D printers, catering to different industrial sectors.

Innovations in the medical field include a virtual reality-based eye surgery training simulator, helping specialists enhance their skills in a simulated environment.

Furthermore, a solar panel cleaning robot that increases energy production efficiency by removing dust and debris was introduced.

The exhibition also featured low-consumption water electro-pumps designed to reduce electricity usage by up to 80%, and low-consumption electromotors suitable for water coolers and capable of direct connection to solar panels.
