Iran paves way for Afghan elite to access knowledge-based business support

The head of Iran’s International Scientific and Technological Cooperation Development Organization, announced that Afghan entrepreneurs and elites residing in Iran can now benefit from support programs designed for knowledge-based businesses, provided they meet the necessary criteria. 

According to the Communications and Information Center of the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy, Hossein Rouzbeh made the announcement during the First Conference of Afghan Elites, held on Sunday in Tehran.

Organized by the Vice Presidency, the event aimed to maximize the potential of Afghan students and elites in Iran by fostering scientific and technological collaboration. 

Rouzbeh emphasized that the conference marked a significant step toward creating a shared ecosystem for innovation and cooperation between Iranian and Afghan elites.

“For over four decades, the absence of such gatherings has been a historical oversight. Today, we are working to address this gap by building a collaborative environment for scientific and technological advancements,” Rouzbeh stated. 

He highlighted the unique technological ecosystem in Iran and expressed readiness to share these experiences with Afghan elites to help them build a future rooted in peace, progress, and innovation.

Rouzbeh also noted that the Iranian government has prioritized regional cooperation, with a focus on leveraging technological capabilities.
