Frist vice president highlights key role of Iran expo in diplomacy, trade
Iran’s First Vice President, Mohammad Reza Aref, has emphasized the importance of bilateral and multilateral meetings among elites and political activists during the upcoming Export Capabilities Exhibition (Iran Expo), the Information Center of the National Elites Foundation reported.
Speaking at the exhibition’s Policy-Making Council meeting, Aref praised organizers for preparing one of Iran’s most significant events.
He stressed the need to showcase Iran’s export capabilities and knowledge-based achievements to foreign leaders and economic stakeholders, sending a clear message about the nation’s potential.
Aref highlighted Iran’s observer status in the Eurasian Union and its active role in regional organizations, noting that the exhibition aligns with the government’s focus on expanding trade ties with neighboring and aligned countries.
He also pointed to Africa as an untapped market, calling for stronger relations with the continent.
The vice president underscored Iran’s expertise in technical services and knowledge-based industries, urging stakeholders to leverage the exhibition to attract regional partners, particularly in high-tech sectors.
He also noted that the event could counter negative narratives about Iran, as foreign visitors often leave with a transformed perspective.
Aref instructed all relevant ministries to fully support the exhibition, ensuring its success.
The meeting concluded with a directive to expedite the allocation of necessary financial resources for the event.
