Iranian president demands operational structure of elites for smart energy management

Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian has stressed the need to establish an operational framework comprising elites to implement innovative smart energy distribution and consumption management plans.
According to the Information Center of the National Elites Foundation, President Pezeshkian highlighted the importance of leveraging the expertise of private sector technology companies, particularly those specializing in energy innovation, to achieve these goals.
He emphasized that all initiatives aimed at addressing energy imbalances and managing distribution must be rooted in fairness, ensuring equitable energy allocation for all Iranian citizens.
The president noted that resolving energy disparities should not be confined to a single approach but should incorporate diverse methods tailored to the unique conditions of each region.
This flexibility, he said, would empower managers and expand operational capabilities.
Furthermore, he underscored the necessity of reforming consumption patterns through public education, utilizing platforms such as mosques, health centers, and influential community figures, including artists.
He asserted that public engagement and consensus-building are key to overcoming challenges like energy imbalances and consumption management.
President Pezeshkian also called for modernizing heating equipment, banning outdated and non-standard devices, activating smart meters, and establishing a precise monitoring system for energy distribution and consumption as essential steps toward energy reform.
