Iran’s nanotechnology roadmap opens doors to international collaboration

Tehran recently hosted a high-level international meeting focused on Iran’s advancements in nanotechnology, bringing together delegations from Venezuela, Cuba, Russia, Serbia, Honduras, China, and Vietnam.
According to the Center for Communications and Information of the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy, the event aimed to introduce foreign officials and experts to Iran’s progress in nanoscience and its practical applications in healthcare.
Emad Ahmadvand, the secretary of the Nanotechnology and Microtechnology Development Headquarters, outlined Iran’s development path in this sector, highlighting the growth in scientific publications, academic theses, infrastructure, and the increasing role of knowledge-based companies in the nanotech market.
Mohammad Mehdi Seifi, the head of Business Development in Health and Medicine at the Nanotechnology Headquarters, showcased innovative Iranian products and technologies in diagnostics, treatment, and public health.
He emphasized Iran’s growing position among leading nations in the field.
Key participants included Venezuela’s Vice President and Minister of Health, Cuba’s Minister of Health, Russia’s Ambassador to Iran, and academic delegations from several attending countries.
The guests praised Iran’s achievements and expressed interest in expanding scientific cooperation and exchanging expertise.
