“Connect” creates a platform for returning elites to play a role in the field of health

The Director of the Connect Platform of the Organization for the Development of International Scientific and Technological Cooperation said: 20 knowledge-based and technological companies consisting of Iranian experts who have returned to the country will present their latest innovations in the field of health by attending the “Connect” pavilion of the IranHealth exhibition.

According to the Communication and Information Center of the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, Seyed Ali Hosseini, Deputy Director of the Office for the Development of Scientific Relations and Human Capital of the Organization for the Development of International Scientific and Technological Cooperation and the Director of the Connect Platform, stating that 20 companies consisting of Iranian elites and experts who have returned to the country are present at the IranHealth exhibition in the form of a dedicated “Connect” pavilion, said: The Connect Platform has been designed and implemented over the past 10 years with the aim of connecting Iranian experts, entrepreneurs and researchers abroad with the Iranian science and technology ecosystem. The main focus of this platform is on utilizing the capacity of the elite in the industry and solving the country’s technological problems, and scientific and research cooperation is also on the agenda.

Referring to the presidency’s emphasis on the role of Iranians abroad in the development of the country’s industry, he added: “Based on the assessments conducted, about 150 knowledge-based companies in fields such as health, medical equipment, and genetics have been launched by Iranians living abroad. After a public call and evaluation processes on the Connect platform, 20 exemplary companies were selected to participate in this pavilion.”

According to Hosseini, these 20 companies are Iranian graduates and entrepreneurs who have returned to Iran after years of activity in different countries and have now exhibited their latest achievements and technological projects in the health field in this pavilion. In this way, the field of interaction of these companies with other players in the technology ecosystem and domestic and foreign investors has been prepared.

In conclusion, he expressed hope that the presence of these companies at the exhibition will give a new identity to the Connect platform and highlight its role in strengthening the country’s innovation and startup ecosystem.
