Iran showcases $1.35bn in savings through knowledge-based products at “Far-e Iran” Exhibition

The inaugural Far-e Iran (Glory of Iran) Exhibition, highlighting Iran’s most advanced knowledge-based technologies, opened on Sunday, with the participation of Vice President for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy, Hossein Afshin, alongside the head of the Innovation and Prosperity Fund, Asghar Nouralizadeh, and representatives from numerous tech companies.
Afshin announced that 80 selected products on display, chosen from over 650 evaluated innovations, collectively represent $1.35 billion in foreign currency savings for the country. These products demonstrate Iran’s ability to produce strategic, high-quality technologies domestically at competitive prices.
The exhibition features a broad spectrum of sectors, including oil, energy, and related industries (29%), health and pharmaceuticals (26%), and artificial intelligence and software (11%).
Afshin highlighted examples where domestic pharmaceutical products are available at a fraction of the cost of imported equivalents, reducing expenses for consumers while preventing currency outflow.
The vice president emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting commercialization and mass production, urging facilitation for market entry and export growth.
The event also serves as a platform for investors, industrial stakeholders, and policymakers to explore partnerships and accelerate Iran’s presence in high-tech markets.
Organizers estimate that the exhibition showcases products with a combined market potential exceeding 110 trillion Iranian rials, signaling significant economic and technological capacity.
