Get to know the i-connect system

Today’s complex world has led many countries to attract foreign individuals with higher education and genius to resolve the challenges facing them. In fact, the immigration of the elite allows companies and governments to make up for shortages of human resources.

Over the past four decades, the Islamic Republic of Iran has hosted a great number of immigrants from neighboring countries. Many of them managed to study at Iran’s top universities despite all the difficulties and launch businesses in the areas related to their expertise. There are many nationals of other world countries who are willing to reside in Iran as geniuses and pursue their growth and progress in the Iranian society.

The Program for Cooperation with International Experts and Entrepreneurs allows non-Iranian experts and entrepreneurs to register their requests for receiving special support from the Center for International Exchanges at the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology. The system is aimed at providing a set of services and facilities to the geniuses and entrepreneurs that seek to immigrate to Iran, facilitating their residence there, and setting the stage for their potentials to flourish and benefit the Iranian society.

Among of the services offered in the program is the provision of a special residency notebook that will not expire until three to five years in an effort to exempt this group of immigrants from repeatedly extending their residency documents. Holding the notebook, immigrants will be eligible to vote and enjoy all civil rights in Iran.

The Program for Cooperation with International Experts and Entrepreneurs has been defined as part of the implementation of Action 8 in Iran’s Comprehensive International Relations Document on developing mechanisms for attracting foreign scientists, researchers, technologists and students.
