Iran indigenizes software for detecting gradation of mineral stones

Iranian experts have designed and produced a piece of Internet-based software capable of detecting the gradation of mineral stones in the shortest possible time and with high accuracy.

The software uses image processing methods, a neural network and artificial intelligence to provide an algorithm that determines the size of fragments or granulation of crushed rocks caused by explosions in mines in the shortest possible time and in an optimal way.

The software was developed by an Iranian knowledge-based company, named Fanavaran-e Hooshmand-e Samangan.

Optimal and appropriate granulation is an important factor for a successful explosion operation and can reduce the overall costs of mining to a minimum.
