Iran unveils new aviation achievements in Kish exhibition

The 11th International Aerial and Aviation Exhibition of Iran has kicked off on Kish Island with the participation of Iranian and foreign knowledge-based companies.
Overall, 80 Iranian and 10 foreign companies are participating in this edition of the fair.
The foreign firms are from Russia, China and Ethiopia. These companies put on display their latest capabilities and achievements in the field of aviation industry.
The exhibition features products of joint cooperation between the Iranian and Russian aviation industries such as the production of MRO of commercial aircraft as well as parts of 100 and 150-seater airplanes, 70-100-seater aircraft and Ka226 helicopters.
As for MRO, Iran and Russia complement each other. Russia’s engine manufacturing union is highly capable in terms of producing materials and parts designing engines.
The Iranian side has high expertise and experience in MRO of commercial aircraft engines. This counts as an opportunity that paves the way for cooperation in developing aircraft manufacturing technologies. Iran’s and Russia’s knowledge-based companies have complementary capabilities in aircraft design and manufacture.
Russia’s capability of designing and making commercial aircraft makes it possible to further cooperation with Iran in this regard through relying on the ability of Iranian companies. The 11th International Aerial and Aviation Exhibition of Iran kicked off on Tuesday, December 13, and will run until December 16.
