Iran and Lebanon sign entrepreneurship MoU

Iranian Labor Minister Solat Mortazavi and his Lebanese counterpart have signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in job creation and entrepreneurship as well as social and cultural cooperation.

Mortazavi said during the signing ceremony that Lebanon is an integral part of the Muslim world and “we believe that defending Lebanon means defending the Muslim ummah”.
He added that Iran’s labor ministry is ready to expand cooperation with Lebanon.
Mortazavi noted that the ministry constitutes a major part of the Iranian economy.
Mustafa Bayram, Lebanon’s Labor Minister, for his part thanked Iran for standing by other nations and paying the price for its support of the nations.
He added that Iran has been hit by oppressive sanctions but Tehran has turned the sanctions into an
opportunity.
The Lebanese minister said Lebanon has been able to liberate its lands from Israeli occupation thus putting an end to their claim of invincibility.
Referring to the political standstill in Lebanon, he said, “We are trying to form a powerful government in Lebanon and we believe that no option can replace this government.”
Bayram referred to the economic siege on Lebanon, adding to counter the consequences of the cruel siege, “we are looking for cooperation and using Iran’s experiences.”
