2.5-fold growth in exports by Iran’s knowledge-based companies

The head of the Iranian Center for International Scientific and Technological Interactions says steadily paving the way for knowledge-based companies to flourish and strengthening the private sector in the economic sector are among the blessings of the Islamic Revolution, which has led to the promotion of Iran’s scientific and technological capabilities.

Amirhossein Mirabadi added that this is one of the decisive factors in international interactions between Iran and other countries.

Mirabadi then referred to the long strides Iranian knowledge-based companies have taken over the past few years, saying exports of knowledge-based products from Iran to other countries have seen a 2.5-fold rise during the first 7 months of the Persian year of 1402 (extending from late March to late October).

He also said that the country has opened offices of the Iran House of Innovation and Technology in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and that the operational part of the work has already started.

Mirabadi further stressed that the operational phase of the Iran-Venezuela Joint Innovation Technology Center has started too, but it has yet to be launched as it’s in the preparation stage.

The head of the Iranian Center for International Scientific and Technological Interactions expressed hope that the Venezuela office will be operational by March 21, 2024.
