Official: iHiT Uzbekistan suitable platform for technology, innovation networking

Amirhossein Mirabadi, Head of Iran’s International Scientific and Technological Cooperation Development Organization said the Office of the Vice-President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy has always viewed Uzbekistan as a top priority, and the House of Innovation and Technology of Iran in the former Soviet Republic is highly active in the Central Asian country on missions assigned to iHiT by of the office of the Iranian VP. 

Mirabadi made those comments at iHiT Uzbekistan in the presence of some people active in the sector of creative technologies such as Masoud Hasanlou, Secretary of the Cultural and Soft Technologies Development Staff of the Office of the Iranian VP. 

At first, a report on the actions and achievements of the Iranian creative industries delegation’s visit to Uzbekistan was presented by the director of iHit Uzbekistan. 

Mirabadi added that this condition creates a suitable platform for sharing and networking the technology and innovation ecosystems for the purpose of boosting exports. 

Yaser Gharaee an Iranian activist engaged in the field of education attending the meeting also said it was found at B2B meetings held in Uzbekistan that those working in the education and learning field welcome the idea of joint production of educational equipment, and virtual laboratories with the Iranian side. 

Alireza Farahani from the Iranian National Foundation of Computer Games spoke about the capacities of companies that were dispatched to the event in Uzbekistan. 

He said the Iranian and Uzbek sides are willing to expand their ties and interactions in this field, especially in teaching programming. 

According to the official figures, exchanges with Uzbekistan amount to 90 million dollars per year, and the two sides are capable of multiplying the figure.
