Iranian, German science, research foundations call for joint research projects

Iran’s National Science Foundation (INSF) and the German Research Foundation (DFG) have released a joint call to grant funds and support research projects, the information center of Iran’s Vice Presidential Office for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy reported.
In the open call, joint proposals will initially be approved by the DFG and will be submitted to the INSF for the next proceedings, according to the information center.
For the next stage, Iranian researchers will be asked by the INSF to register their joint proposals on the foundation’s Kuiper website.
The researchers are also required to submit their documents, including CVs and latest activities and achievements, and fill in the forms and wait for the final approval by the Iranian and German foundations.
All scientific fields are priority areas, the information center announced, without distinguishing any specific field.
The lead researcher has to be a full-time tenured university teacher in an Iranian university or research institute.
The maximum support for each joint research project for Iranian teams is 3 billion tomans ($50,000) for a maximum period of three years and the German teams will be funded by DFG.
