Iran’s NEXT technology award a ‘promotion, growth platform’ for companies

Iran’s National ‘NEXT’ Technology Award can serve as a launching pad for knowledge-based companies to bring out their full potential, the deputy head of the Iranian Optics and Quantum Technologies Headquarters says.
Ali Rasouli made the remarks in the second webinar of the Next National Technology Award on quantum and microelectronics technology, the Communication and Information Center of the Iranian Vice President’s Office for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy reported.
He said the event focuses on a wide range of scientific topics, including new generation of multifunctional photonic sensors for smart systems, crystal growth, manufacturing of optical materials and thin optical layers, lasers and diode displays, hyperspectral cameras, cryptography and secure quantum communications, completing the value chain of industrial welding and cutting lasers and processing material and finishing the value chain of manufacturing infrared detectors and integrated photonic circuits.
Rasouli said NEXT provides financial support for large companies so they can add new technological products to their portfolio through this program, which he argued would lead to ‘a collective value creation’ so “people can experience the impact of technology in the context of their daily life.”
