Iranian company develops AI-powered posture analysis device

A team of specialists at an Iranian knowledge-based company has successfully developed an AI-powered device for analyzing body posture for treatment, ISNA news agency reported.  

This innovative device provides precise and comprehensive information to help specialists make better decisions regarding the treatment and correction of patients’ movements, ultimately improving their quality of life.

Mojtaba Gohari, the CEO of the company, emphasized the importance of ‘posture structure’ in health and sports, noting, “Postural abnormalities not only affect an individual’s physical health but also their athletic performance… which can lead to diseases and hinder a healthy lifestyle.”

Using photogrammetry for accurate joint position assessments, the device measures and evaluates skeletal deviations, such as those in the shoulders, neck, and feet.

The device, which boasts four key functions – including imaging technology, data analysis, reporting, and corrective exercises – captures detailed images of an individual’s posture, analyzes the data to provide insights on body angles and symmetry, and helps specialists identify weaknesses and abnormalities. 

Additionally, the device supports the design of corrective exercises tailored to the identified skeletal issues. 

It is the only AI-powered posture analysis device in Iran and has been exported to the UAE, costing about one-tenth of its foreign counterparts.
