Iran unveils ‘Knowledge-Based Trader’ initiative to boost export capabilities

In an event held at Iran’s House of Technology and Innovation (iHiT), the Organization for the Development of International Scientific and Technological Cooperation unveiled a new initiative aimed at revolutionizing trade and export.

Dubbed the Knowledge-Based Trader, the program seeks to bridge the gap between the realms of knowledge-based companies and international trade.

The closing ceremony of the Knowledge-Based Trader export experience  saw the participation of key figures, including Amirhossein Mirabadi, the head of the organization, and Mirhadi Seyedi, an advisor on international affairs and trade agreements of the organization.

The program aims to equip knowledge-based companies with the tools and support needed to enter international markets. “This initiative not only creates new job opportunities but also brings the international business environment closer to reality,” Mirabadi said during the ceremony.

Over 100 applicants registered for the event, with 48 undergoing rigorous evaluation.

Fifteen companies were ultimately selected based on their export capabilities, proficiency in English, and a thorough understanding of their products.

The program included educational sessions, mentoring, and support, culminating in a comprehensive evaluation by a judging panel.

The final winners were introduced and honored during the closing ceremony, marking a significant step towards enhancing Iran’s presence in the global market.

The Knowledge-Based Trader initiative is set to be developed and replicated across the country, aiming at a significant leap in knowledge-based exports within the next three to five years.
