Iran develops omega-3 supplement without gastrointestinal side effects
Sana Pharmed, a knowledge-based company located in the International Innovation Zone of Iran, has successfully developed an Omega-3 dietary supplement using Enteric Coated technology.
The innovative technology makes softgels resistant to stomach acid, enhancing effectiveness and reducing gastrointestinal side effects.
Saman Pourzia, the CEO of the company, explained that Smart Omega softgels release their contents in the intestine, eliminating unpleasant odor and preventing stomach irritation.
The product contributes to heart health, fetal brain cell growth, and reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression.
The research and development process of this product cost over 15 billion Rials, with a production capacity of 500,000 boxes per year.
Pourzia also highlighted the technology’s potential to save up to $2.5 million in foreign currency.
Smart Omega-3 has successfully passed all Food and Drug Administration evaluations and is now available on the market.
