Uzbekistan says ready for tech exchange, academic cooperation with Iran

In a recent meeting, the head of Iran’s International Center for Scientific and Technological Cooperation, Hossein Rouzbeh, and Uzbekistan’s Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Technology, and Innovation, Fazliddin Muminov, discussed expanding technological and academic partnerships between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
They highlighted the two countries’ rich shared history, culture, and economic and scientific ties, which lay the groundwork for future collaborations.
The discussions focused on advancing student and faculty exchanges, fostering cooperation among knowledge-based companies, and expanding mutual participation in scientific and technological events.
Other key areas included joint seminars, symposia, and the exchange of technology-driven products and services.
Rouzbeh emphasized Iran’s achievements in science, technology, and innovation, noting that these advancements create significant opportunities for collaborative ventures with Uzbekistan.
He affirmed Iran’s readiness to explore diverse avenues of cooperation, underscoring the establishment of a joint committee to define strategic topics and partnerships.
Muminov in turn praised Iran’s capacity in science and knowledge-based industries and expressed optimism about harnessing these strengths alongside Uzbekistan’s capabilities.
He also conveyed appreciation for the invitation to Iran’s Nano Exhibition, identifying it as an excellent platform for broadening multilateral collaboration in various related fields.
