Iranian nano products see significant surge in sales, exports

The secretary of the Nano and Micro Technology Development Headquarters has announced a significant increase in the sales of domestically produced nano products in Iran. 

During a visit to the Iran Tractor Manufacturing Industrial Group, Emad Ahmadvand said over the past few years, the annual sales have grown by over 100%, with last year’s sales reaching approximately 620 trillion rials ($886 million), the Communications and Information Center of Iran’s Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy reported. 

He highlighted the supportive role of the tractor manufacturing industry in fostering the country’s knowledge-based capacities, adding it has also facilitated the entry of knowledge-based industries into the economic sphere. 

Ahmadvand noted that the development-oriented perspective in the tractor manufacturing industry extends beyond its direct economic mission, embracing a national scientific cooperation vision that can serve as a model for other sectors. 

In the past year, nano product exports accounted for 9.2% of the total revenue, amounting to $145 million, marking a 110% increase. 

The products were exported to 49 countries, with Iraq, Turkey, Afghanistan, India, and China being the top destinations. 

The CEO of Iran Tractor Manufacturing Industrial Group also mentioned that their collaboration with over a thousand suppliers and 80 knowledge-based entities and universities has contributed to the growth of the industry.
