Zarif: Boosting production infrastructure crucial for development

Mohammad Javad Zarif, Iranian Vice President for Strategic Affairs, has underscored the need to bolster domestic production and support knowledge-based companies. 

Zarid was speaking during a visit to the Iran-Made Exhibition in Tehran. 

He highlighted the impressive achievements of the Iranian knowledge-based companies in advanced testing equipment and laboratory materials, underlining the importance of reducing reliance on imports. 

Zarif, accompanied by other officials, held talks with industry leaders and expressed satisfaction with Iran’s scientific and technological progress. 

He pointed out that strengthening production infrastructure is crucial for national development. “We must move towards enhancing domestic production,” he said, highlighting the idea that Iran is on a path of scientific advancement. 

The exhibition serves as a platform for showcasing innovations and technologies developed in Iran, facilitating connections between local producers and both domestic and foreign investors. 

Zarif noted that the accomplishments of Iranian scientists not only reflect exceptional talent but also foster hope for a brighter future. 

He also mentioned the role of the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology in supporting these advancements, expressing optimism about exporting these achievements globally. 

This initiative is vital for scientific diplomacy and will significantly contribute to increasing non-oil exports from Iran, showcasing the nation’s capabilities to the world, he concluded.
