Vice president: Women innovators leading the way in Iran’s technological progress

The Iranian Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy has praised the contributions of female innovators in Iran’s technological fields.
Speaking at the “Women, Innovation, and Technology” exhibition, held in conjunction with the birth anniversary of Hazrat Fatima Zahra and Women’s Week, Hossein Afshin emphasized the vital role of women in advancing Iran’s technological frontier.
Afshin highlighted that Hazrat Zahra, the Prophet’s daughter, symbolizes continuous creativity, courage, and hope, adding she is an eternal force unbounded by time or space.
He praised Iranian women for embodying the idea, standing strong, and making significant strides across all fields.
“From mothers raising creative and committed generations to scientists astounding the world, Iranian women are at the forefront,” he said.
Afshin likened women’s contributions to the light Hazrat Zahra wished to spread worldwide, “a light that sustains hope even in the darkest times.”
He also highlighted the achievements of women at the BRICS Summit, stating that their knowledge, creativity, and courage transcend geographical boundaries.
Afshin affirmed, “Being a woman is not just a role but a power; a power to create, stand firm, and illuminate the world.”
