Iran technological firms shine at intl. exhibition in India

Iranian technological companies find new customers in India as they showcase their achievements in an international exhibition in the South Asian country.

The three-day exhibition had more than 35,000 visitors, with the Iranian pavilion, which presented cutting-edge products to Indians, being among the most attractive and the busiest ones at the event.

The Iranian pavilion, organized by the International Interactions Center at the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology, was joined by 10 Iranian technological companies, out of which 6 are set to sign agreements for active presence in India.

“Although it was Iran’s first step taken collectively toward exporting technological products to India, both Iranian and Indian firms acknowledged that it was a powerful and surprising presence. The mindset of Iranian firms on the Indian markets also changed. There’s now stepped-up seriousness in them to take over a share of the Indian market, said Ghadamgahi, head of the Center for Iran’s Advance Technologies in India.

Iran’s export base in India has signed contracts with 8 Iranian companies for granting branches to India.

A total of 15 Indian companies have been considered as potential options in sales.
