Iran to launch AI-based neobank helping elites make best use of intellectual capital

The Iranian government spokesperson has announced the design and development of an artificial intelligence-based neobank that is aimed at supporting knowledge-based companies and innovators in Iran.

Fatemeh Mohajerani said this bank is being developed jointly by the office of the Vice-President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy and the ministry of economy. 

She added that it creates the groundwork for advancement and achieving artificial intelligence technology. 

Mohajerani further stated that the neobank will help elites use their intellectual capital for progress. 

The government spokeswoman referred to the launch of the national AI platform in May 2025 and noted that developing the country’s AI platform is one of the government’s priorities. 

She expressed hope that with scientific Vice-President Hossein Afshin’s significant efforts in launching this national platform, it will be widely accessible to individuals starting from May 2025.
