Official: Internationalization pillar for growth of knowledge-based firms

Hossein Rouzbeh, head of the Iranian Organization for the Development of International Scientific and Technological Cooperation, emphasized that internationalization is the cornerstone of a knowledge-based company’s growth and a key pillar of Iran’s foreign policy.

Rouzbeh made the rematks in the first session of the “Tomorrow’s Opportunity” series of meetings, focused on Uzbekistan.

Rouzbeh stated that the path to internationalization requires two fundamental components: the active participation of knowledge-based firms and institutional support from entities such as the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy.

According to the information center of the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy,

Rouzbeh outlined three main areas for advancing internationalization.

He said the first involves establishing robust infrastructure for technology exchanges and collaborations. The second, he said, focuses on integrating the country’s scientific workforce into the global knowledge ecosystem, ensuring they both benefit from and contribute to international advancements.

According to Rouzbeh the third area pertains to policy formulation, which falls under the purview of the Vice Presidency’s strategic divisions.

Referring to the concept of “Cultural Iran” in the country’s foreign policy, Rouzbeh underscored Uzbekistan’s strategic importance due to its alignment with Iran’s regional engagement and mutual interests.

He reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to fostering international collaborations, positioning Iran’s knowledge ecosystem as a valuable asset in the nation’s foreign policy framework.
