BRICS financial, technological workshop held in Iran

A workshop titled “Introduction to BRICS Structures and Collaboration Opportunities” was held in Iran, hosted by the Iran International Innovation District, to explore opportunities for scientific and technological cooperation within the BRICS framework.
According to the Communications and Information Center of the Iranian Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy, the event, attended by Russian BRICS Council members and Iranian officials, aimed to strengthen ties and identify joint investment and financing mechanisms for collaborative projects.
Mehdi Safarinia, the head of Pardis Technology Park, highlighted Iran’s 20 years of experience in technological development, emphasizing that BRICS collaboration could help reduce Western technological monopolies and promote sustainable growth among member nations.
Irina Koklina, the president of the Russian BRICS Expert Council, outlined the group’s strategic plans for science, technology, and innovation.
Yaroslav Sorokotyaga, Director of International Programs at the Russian Science Information Center, presented completed and ongoing BRICS projects in science and technology.
On the final day, Victoria Panova, Head of the Russian BRICS Expert Council, discussed BRICS’ role in a multipolar world and future scientific cooperation.
The event concluded with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Iranian and Russian officials to enhance collaboration in science, technology, and innovation under the BRICS framework.
