Iranian knowledge-based company develops human and livestock supplements based on yeast properties

An Iranian knowledge-based company has developed human and animal supplements using the properties of propolis and yeast.

CEO of Soren Tech Tous, Mohsen Fathi, said the company has produced supplements and pharmaceutical products based on propolis, a brownish material used by bees to seal hive gaps.

Propolis, a mixture of bee saliva and wax, has multiple applications in the food, pharmaceutical, and supplement industries.

Fathi noted that Soren Tech Tous initially produced propolis tablets with a new formulation and that it has initiated the production of yeast extract for food and supplement applications for the first time in the country.

Referring to Soren Tech Tous’s capability to control the quality of foodstuff, including the grading of honey using biological components, Fathi said over the past decade, the company has analyzed over 900 honey samples annually.

This, he noted, has made Soren Tech Tous the only lab in the region capable of conducting such tests for honey, royal jelly, and propolis.
