Iran’s textile machinery industry seeks global role through technology partnerships

Senior Iranian and Spanish textile industry officials have emphasized the potential for expanded international cooperation during a tour of Isfahan’s textile machinery manufacturers, the Communications and Information Center of the Iranian Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy reported.

The visit featured Mohammad Mehdi Hadavi, head of Iran’s Knowledge-Based Economy Development Headquarters for Industrial Machinery, alongside Alejandro Gallego Alcaide, CEO of Spain’s Textile Machinery Manufacturers Association (AMEC).

The delegation inspected several leading Iranian manufacturers, including Ra’ee Machinery Company specializing in weaving preparation equipment, Mehr Afarinan Hadaf Sepahan producing spinning and weaving components, and Partak Machine manufacturing air-jet weaving machines.

Alejandro acknowledged Iran’s growing manufacturing capabilities, noting that Iranian companies “possess the capacity for international competition.”

He suggested that technological upgrades through global partnerships could help Iranian firms capture greater market share worldwide.

The Spanish executive specifically highlighted major industry events like ITMA Asia 2025 in Singapore and ITMA 2027 in Germany as key platforms for Iranian manufacturers to showcase their products.

Hadavi outlined the Iranian government’s support measures for the sector, stating the scientific vice president has prioritized industrial machinery development through international collaboration.

The visit formed part of broader efforts to integrate Iranian manufacturers into global supply chains.
