Tehran, Tabriz host int’l ‘Space and Time on Silk Road’ conference

Iran and Japan have jointly hosted a conference and exhibition dubbed Space and Time on Silk Road in the Iranian cities of Tehran and Tabriz, according to the information center of the Iranian Vice-Presidential office for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy. 

The conference, aimed at showcasing the culture, art, architecture and urban planning of Iran and Japan through seminars, technical workshops and numerous sessions, started in the Iranian capital Tehran on Tuesday and in the northwestern city of Tabriz on Thursday. 

For the first time, the Louvre Museum in Paris hosted “Space and Time” as an international event in 1978, but in this edition professors and artists from Iran and Japan have been selected based on the comparative space-time theories which are interpreted based on the philosophical and ideological backgrounds of both cultures. 

Japan’s ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran and Iranian officials took part the in event.
