Iranian company develops AI Chatbot for telecommunications sector

An Iranian knowledge-based company has unveiled “CommAI,” an intelligent virtual assistant designed to provide automated technical support for telecommunications professionals.
The Communication and Information Center of the Iranian Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy reported the AI-powered system, developed by Farabin Company, utilizes advanced language models to deliver precise answers to complex telecom queries while complying with international 3GPP standards.
Ali Akbar Tadayon, CEO of Farabin, explained that CommAI can process technical inquiries with industry-specific accuracy, serving engineers, researchers, and telecom corporations through its specialized knowledge base.
The system provides instant troubleshooting guidance for telecom equipment, configuration support for network infrastructure, and access to technical documentation.
The domestically-developed solution aims to significantly reduce operational costs and customer wait times while supporting decision-making with real-time data analysis.
Tadayon noted the system currently offers 24/7 automated assistance in both Persian and English.
“CommAI represents more than just a virtual assistant – we’re developing it into an intelligent advisor for telecom operators,” he stated, the tool will become a market leader in industrial AI applications within Iran’s telecommunications sector within three years.
Initial deployments are already underway with telecom equipment manufacturers and university research centers.
Farabin plans to expand the system’s functionality to include predictive maintenance features by late 2025.
