Nano-based antifreeze enhances vehicle engine efficiency in Iran

Iranian researchers have developed a new generation of nano-based engine coolant that significantly improves vehicle performance, as reported by the Communications and Information Center of the Iranian Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy.
Produced by the knowledge-based company Exir Salamat Yavaran Behrad, the product has become the first in its category to receive Iran’s National Nano Label (NanoNamad), recognizing its technological and industrial merit.
The innovative coolant is formulated with ethylene glycol and enhanced with nanoparticles to increase thermal conductivity by 20% compared to conventional products.
The advancement allows for more efficient heat transfer between the engine and coolant fluid, resulting in lower engine operating temperatures and optimized combustion performance.
The product not only reduces fuel consumption and engine component wear but also improves radiator efficiency, leading to lower maintenance costs for light vehicles.
The NanoNamad certification is a quality mark issued through a collaboration between the National Standards Organization and the Special Headquarters for Nanotechnology Development.
The achievement marks a significant step for Iran’s automotive and nanotechnology sectors, positioning Exir Salamat Yavaran Behrad as a pioneer in developing advanced, locally produced engine cooling solutions.
