Iran’s president stresses role of elites, innovation in achieving national goals

President Massoud Pezeshkian underscored the importance of collaboration with national elites and empowering capable individuals to drive Iran’s long-term development goals during a visit to the Iranian Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy on Tuesday.
Addressing senior officials and experts, President Pezeshkian emphasized that national progress depends on shared expertise and collective action, the vice presidency’s Information Center reported.
“We must design a strategic path to achieve our major objectives with the help of elites. Capable individuals should be given opportunities, supported, and guided when mistakes occur,” he said.
He also highlighted the need to prioritize projects based on efficiency and impact, stressing that “knowing, being able, and willing to act in service of the country” is vital for success.
President Pezeshkian urged greater use of talented women in scientific and technological initiatives, noting that half of the population are women with significant potential.
He also called on the vice presidency to address economic, managerial, and sociological challenges through innovative solutions.
The president supported marketing efforts for domestic technological products both at home and abroad, and praised progress in installing solar panels on government buildings, urging similar action in provinces and limiting Tehran’s further expansion to protect its environmental and cultural sustainability.
