Iran, Russia discuss closer cooperation in auto, aircraft, space industries

Iran and Russia have discussed closer cooperation in automobile, aircraft and space industries. 

That came in a meeting between Iranian Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy Rouhollah Dehqhani and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov in Moscow.

In the meeting, the two top officials exchanged views on Tehran-Moscow cooperation on various technological fronts.

The Russian side touched upon growing cooperation between the two countries, and said among areas of mutual interest in terms of mutual cooperation are the auto industry, auto spare parts, aircraft building, medicines, medical equipment and the space sector.

Dehqhani, in turn described Russia as a prominent country in different areas, adding cruel sanctions against Iran have paved the way for Iran’s progress, especially in the domains of technology and knowledge-based activities.

He added Iran stands ready for cooperation in different areas, including health, knowledge-based equipment, the environment as well as healthy and sustainable food, energy and transportation in various sections, namely ship-building, the auto industry and aircraft-building.
