Iran unveils four strategic polymer products at IranPlast exhibition

Four innovative polymer products developed by the knowledge-based company Parsa Polymer Sharif were unveiled during the 19th IranPlast International Exhibition, in a ceremony attended by Hossein Afshin, Iranian Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy.

Founded in 2007, Parsa Polymer Sharif specializes in polymer compounds and has become a competitor to imports as well as an exporter to neighboring markets. Its new products target applications across the automotive, electronics, household appliances, packaging, and construction industries.

The first product, LFT compounds, are polypropylene composites reinforced with long glass fibers, offering high strength and toughness as a lightweight alternative to metal components.

The second, metallic compounds, deliver a glossy metallic finish for plastic parts, eliminating the need for painting or plating in decorative applications.

The third innovation, RCT masterbatch, enhances polypropylene pipe production by improving durability and hydraulic efficiency while reducing raw material consumption.

The final product, TPV elastomers, combine rubber-like elasticity with the processability of plastics, enabling versatile use in seals, gaskets, and other components with recyclability benefits.

Afshin also toured several other polymer companies at the exhibition, highlighting Iran’s growing focus on advanced materials and domestic innovation.
