Iraqi official: iHiT symbol of Iran’s pride, scientific-technological progress

The Iran House of Innovation and Technology (iHiT) is a symbol of Iran’s pride and indicates the country’s progress in all fields of science and technology, an Iraqi official says.

The head of the Iraqi Customs Authority, Hassan Hamoud Hassani, made the remarks in an interview the Communication and Information Center of the Iranian vice president’s office for science, technology and knowledge-based economy while he was visiting the Iran Expo 2024 showcasing the Iranian technological achievements in Tehran.

He said, “The products exhibited in the Iran House of Innovation and Technology (iHiT) enjoy a high level of technology.”

Hassani also noted that the private sector and knowledge-based companies have made remarkable achievements and contributions to Iran’s economy.

“The achievements of Iranian knowledge-based firms are commendable. With the help of educated human resources, these companies have turned knowledge into technology, either product or services, and therefore wealth,” he said.

Iraq’s customs head singled out the improved quality and lower costs of Iranian knowledge-based products, compared to foreign brands, as the main factors that make them stand out in international markets.
