Iranian students win gold at RoboCup Asia-Pacific 2025 in Abu Dhabi

A team of Iranian students won a gold medal at the eighth RoboCup Asia-Pacific 2025 competition, held from 10 to 15 November in Abu Dhabi. The event brought together national teams from 22 countries across the region.
According to the Iranian Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, Iran was represented by an eight-member student team from the Musito Creative and Innovation House. The team, led by Dr. Mohsen Tavakoli, competed on behalf of the country in several robotics categories.
Organizers said the Iranian team delivered a standout performance, showcasing advanced technical skills, creativity and problem-solving capabilities.
Their success drew attention to the growing strength of Iran’s youth in science, engineering and robotics.
Officials noted that the achievement highlights the determination and resilience of Iranian students in pursuing high-level scientific and technological goals.
They added that such accomplishments can help pave the way for broader participation and stronger performance in future international competitions.
