Iran to station a trade attaché and launch a business center in Qatar

The director of Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization says the country will set up business center and appoint a trade attaché in Qatar.

Mr. Peymanpak said the center and the attaché will officially start working in Qatar in the near future.
In a meeting with Iranian businesspeople in Qatar, Peymanpak underscored that the Iran-Qatar Business Center will perform 70 activities, adding that the Export Promotion Organization’s task is to help increase exports to Qatar.
He added that to this end, the first requirement is to ease transportation conditions and also to give export incentives.
In other comments, Peymanpak said as for exports, two issues are highly important: development of exports and expansion of the market.
The director of Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization also noted that one of the keys to achieve these two goals is to hold exhibitions to get familiar with products and introduce businesspeople to one another.
Peymanpak stressed that despite a 40% rise in business with neighboring countries, Iran experienced a decrease in trade ties with Qatar. “In this respect”, he said, “the Iran-Oman Joint Chamber is a good model for activity”.
