Iran celebrates “Innovation and Technology; Made in Iran” Day

Iran’s Vice President for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy Hossein Afshin has in a message marked December 7 as “Innovation and Technology; Made in Iran” Day.

Afshin highlighted the critical role of young minds, hopeful hearts, and domestically developed technology in shaping Iran’s future.

In his statement, Afshin stressed that each step by Iranian students, researchers, professors, entrepreneurs, and knowledge-based companies contributes not only to solving industrial challenges but also to building the nation’s scientific and technological identity.

He described “Made in Iran” as a belief in the country’s ability to innovate, citing achievements in industrial infrastructure, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and other technologies that once seemed distant goals. Afshin called the day a “day of hope in action”, urging citizens to see challenges as opportunities and take initiative to change the future.

The vice president thanked all participants in this journey, from students and researchers to industry leaders, and envisioned a future where “Made in Iran” becomes a widespread reality in the economy, industry, and everyday life.
